Member-Sponsored Tragic Love Story Contest
Details
Deadline: | Jan 31, 2022 |
Fee: | Free |
Write a short story on a romantic love tragedy.
You must make me weep. No weeping, no guernsey. I suggest playing your favourite love song as inspiration. You must build romantic tension. You must make me feel the bond and the tragedy of its loss. You must show why this particular love is so special above all else. A key theme will be self-sacrificing love, a commitment so strong that one is prepared to do anything for the other.
The couple can be of any sexuality, or even animal, or alien. But I have to feel it, so you need to write well enough to let me know where this is going. Set it up early, so I know where you are going.
Stories can be up to 6,000 words, by Scribophile’s count. If your story is longer than 3,000 words, you must post it in two parts.
Prize money for this contest is provided by the Scribophile Writing Contest Prize Fund.
