Member-Sponsored Haunted Contest
Details
Deadline: | Sep 30, 2019 |
Fee: | Free |
All sorts of things can haunt a person; ghosts, regrets, memories, places, faces, you name it. For the Haunted contest I want you to explore what haunts one of your characters. Get as creative as you want with your haunting but make sure it evokes emotion. All genres are welcome. Perhaps it’s fear, lust, or remorse that consumes your character. Just make sure the emotions are raw and powerful, whatever they may be.
Your story should have a complete arc that gives an introduction, body, and ending to qualify it as a stand alone piece. You may use sections from your work in progress but chapters from your novel will be eliminated from judging. The work should be posted as a short story or flash fiction. Poetry will not be included in this contest.
Judging will be based on clean writing, strong emotion, and a unique story. All genres are welcome.
Prize money for this contest is provided by the Scribophile Writing Contest Prize Fund.
