Group-Sponsored It’s a Celebration! Contest
Details
Deadline: | Sep 15, 2023 |
Fee: | Free |
Diverse Futures invites you to write a short story, flash or vignette focusing on a celebration, tradition, or holiday that has been important in your own life. It does not need to be autobiographical (but you do need to have personal experience of the event so you can get the details right).
While we’re mainly thinking of events of cultural significance, it’s okay if it’s something only your personal family celebrates, or something that is important for non-cultural reasons.
Our judges will be group members Amanda Burton and E. A. Baum. Word limit is 1,600 words per Scribophile’s count.
Prize money for this contest is provided by the Scribophile Writing Contest Prize Fund.
