Member-Sponsored Mini Waffle House Challenge
Details
Deadline: | Aug 24, 2012 |
Fee: | Free |
The Waffle House has been gracious enough to host a mini-contest with two huge prizes in honor of the memory of Riley Amick, who passed away on July 31, 2012. Riley was engaged to our own Aerial White's daughter. May he rest in peace.
In keeping with the theme of waffling, you must write a piece of fiction no more than 2000 words long where the character(s) waffle about a major decision in their life. You may use any genre and any style of writing, but it must have a complete story arc (no chapters from an existing novel you're working on).
Prizes: There will be two 1st place winners: a free member who will win a full year of premium membership, and a premium member who will win 15 karma points.
IMPORTANT: You must put in the description whether you are a premium or a free member. If you don't, your work will be automatically disqualified. Your work also has to be submitted in the main spotlight to qualify.
Happy writing!

Only one entry is allowed per member. Multiple entries will all be disqualified.
Work must have Public visibility on Scribophile until winners are announced.
You must put in the description of your piece whether you are a premium or free member. Failure to do so will get you disqualified.
Submission guidelines
To enter the contest, post your work on Scribophile and check the box that says "Enter this work into The Mini Waffle House Challenge". Your work will automatically be considered. The checkbox will be visible until the contest deadline, which is in UTC time.
Entry is free, but you'll need karma points to post your work. You can earn karma points by writing critiques of work by other members.
If you have placed in a contest in the past with a particular piece, you may not resubmit that piece in other contests.
